It’s not a Collosal Weapon. But it hits like one. I put Lions Claw on it with Heavy Affinity and it just flattens everything. Just like the Giants Crusher. But a lot faster. Massive poise damage. I love it.
Whoops, you said it out loud. Nerf inc…
I’ve just been humbled by Bayle… I think Igon out-DPS’d me.
I guess 5 Ski Doo points isn’t enough for him.
I ran dual greathammers with this and the smith’s hammer that you can throw. One of the most fun builds I’ve ever played, insane damage and surprisingly fast for such a heavy build.
Did it get nerfed too? Like the other smithscript weapons? I tried the Spear yesterday at the Church of Ella’s cuz that one soldier of godrick patrolling nearby. Not only is the damage ass with the charged R1. But it has roughly the same throwing arc as a pot. It’s fkin useless.
I thought it might be good for sniping. Baiting out enemies. Nope.
Not sure if it got nerfed, I haven’t played in a while. The throwing hammer didn’t have great range but usually enough to throw it from outside of an enemy’s aggro range. And the best thing about it was that with a fully charged throw it would knock down a lot of enemies, it was amazing to initiate combat with a knockdown from range and then run in and smash them.
I’ve been rocking the black steel twinblade. That thing is amazing in a quality build.
I gave that the sacred blade ash of war with holy affinity. Makes it do waaaaayyyy more damage.
Man, you weren’t kidding. Sacred affix pretty much doubled the dps on it. I’m worried about two types of damage and absorbs by bosses but I’m definitely going to try this out. Thanks for the tip!
I read the weapon description saying something about holy amplifying the power so I started experimenting a bit with it. I landed on using sacred blade to continuously apply extra holy with the special move instead of using grease. It absolutely destroys undead stuff. There may be a better choice too, since I’m running a fresh character I’m missing some ashes, but anything that gives it the extra grease aura should rock.
