Changing things just for the sake of it.

Gotta justify having entire teams on standby, so they constantly mess with the UI then do some A/B testing then reverse their testing then call it a day.

The “innovation” side of needing endless growth. Endless changes for the sake of making changes.

Right? Why do anything. Who needs more than a terminal interface anyway.

Edit: I really don’t understand what the sentiment here is. Any UI changes are somewhat arbitrary. I don’t get why that’s an issue.

Per your edit: because there are lots of more useful things to focus dev time on than making the bottom bar have a different background which doesn’t add anything to the user experience.

I feel bad for folks that actually use the stock app. There are so many better alternatives to that garbage.

Even without apps, disable YouTube and use it in a browser. No reason to even have an app.

It’s so weird how Google is incredibly terrible at their own apps anymore. Apple makes their own apps (mostly) shine.

I just don’t watch YouTube on my phone since losing YouTube vanced. What I liked about vanced was that I could be logged in. Do you have any personal recommendations for an alternative where I can still log in?

Thanks for the link. I had it in mind that it was all over for vanced and revanced. Glad to hear it’s alive and well and even has its lemmy community!
