HUGE “Trump or DEATH” Flag dropped at Yankees stadium during National Anthem ‘God Bless America’ as Detroit Tigers play New York Yankees.
Is 1776 somehow important to the british colonies of america? Or why does it say 1776?
It’s when the declaration of independence was signed so it gets mindlessly slapped on all kinds of usa shit
oh ok that makes no sense at all in that context lol. thanks for the info tho :)
I think most revolutions would be difficult to pick a single start date for. For whatever reason, the US’s education system has gone all in on the Declaration. We have a lot of mythology surrounding our founding documents and founding fathers, so what these signs are really saying is, “we are carrying the same torch of freedom that our founders carried”. It’s symbolic of their willingness to die for their cause (or more likely, for other people to die for their cause).
As some bonus context, this was exactly what the south thought they were doing during the American Civil War. They thought the tyranny of having taxes levied on your tea was exactly equivalent to not being allowed to own slaves. And they called the civil war the second american revolution for a while.
Yeah, it is kinda weird, but here in the USA, it’s exceedingly common to see 1776 on bumper stickers or flags of Hardline reactionaries. I guess to show that they are real American patriots
Imagine designing this. Imagine paying to have it printed. Imagine having a back and forth with the in house designer about DPI and vector requirements and color pricing. Imagine stopping by after work to pick it up and carrying it to your truck and texting your buddies a picture and then just sitting in it for like a week.
The most visible chud in my town is the guy who owns the sign-printing shop.

Donald Trump’s first act as president-elect will be the dissolution of the entire United States of America.
If that’s your decision
I’m more interested in those Nathan’s hot dogs.
I don’t know about the out of town franchises, but I’ve been to the Nathan’s at Coney Island and that place is great.
