While I agree. “Darth Vaders theme song” is more broadly recognized than the actual name. Also it might have something to do with the fact that it isn’t the only song named “Imperial March”, just the most current and popular one.

Catching a bunch of German Navy guys blasting the Imperial March just reminds folks of how close the apple fell to the tree.

The only real defense would be them not being called stormtroopers in the German translations, which I suppose is possible.
