Naw mate. That’s just 2d printing. If you’re going to do this have something cool popping out of the the poster at least. Waste of this medium imo. A nice poster would look better.

Disagree. You’re right that it’s very flat, but it’s not 2d. It’s got thickness to it. Additionally, not a waste as it’s awesome. Disagree that a poster would look better. Also, I couldn’t make a poster but I could make this. Also, you could customize the colors if you wanted.

The surface is flat, it’s absolutely 2D art. Whatever thickness the material has is pretty irrelevant WRT 2D v. 3D when there is no spacial quality to the piece. This cool, but it is no more 3D art than a regular painting or laser edged piece of wood.

I’ve printed a few of my photos like this and I really love the way they come out. Their contrast ratio is way better than a cheap printer could do and there is a neat feel to them. I would say just stop hating and let people appreciate their hobby the way they want to :)
