Always with the projection.
Not defending Repubs but hear me out.
This has got to be some kind of bias. They probably believe that illegal voting is happening, so they are justified in their own illegality to counteract this illegal behavior they believe is happening.
Doesn’t make it any less egregious. Just makes them stupidly human.
For example, both Republicans and Centrist Democrats have fallen for the idea that capitalist companies can be trusted to do the right thing due to market pressure and demand supply mechanisms. So both sides do not engage in meaningful restrictions on these companies. They feel justified in this behavior because they believe that it’s impossible for these companies to ignore the right thing to do for fear of their customer base boycotting them.
This has got to be some kind of bias.
The bias is they don’t believe it’s fair for their enemies to vote, this is their country.
This is why they used to do the sensible thing, and prevent such voters with laws like Jim Crow. For safety, you see.
There is simply no conceivable way rational Americans could disagree with them, thus the only alternative is that all those votes are fake.
It’s like the silent majority, everyone actually agreed that this was a Christian nation and we should have Christian law, with women and coloreds unable to vote and subservient to the white man, they were just afraid to say it out loud. Now we call it political correctness and cancel culture.
I hear what you’re saying, but I don’t agree with your claim. In North Dakota for a very long time there was no voter registration, but then the Republicans insisted on creating it because they claimed there were eight cases of voter fraud, and they changed the law which made it harder for college students and Native Americans to vote, and not a single person was charged with voter fraud in the end.
If any voter fraud had actually occurred, you can be sure that state leaders would have charged people for it, because it would have been free political points. But they didn’t, because there wasn’t any voter fraud. I think they knew that beforehand, but even if you want to be unreasonably generous, at least you would expect that some of them would apologize later for wasting everyone’s time and getting the issue totally wrong, and at the same time disenfranchising Native Americans and college kids. Of course no one did so.
Oh, I’m not saying the voter fraud is happening. I’m saying they’re thinking it is. And yes, many times they’re just lying about it for political gain.
There are two types of Republicans, con artists, and suckers. Yes, the suckers do believe there is actual voter fraud. But they believe that because the con artists, their party officials and political office holders, are telling them it’s true, while really just trying to suppress the vote because when voters turn out, Republicans lose
Every once in a while, you get a sucker that stumbles into a position of power, and then you see stuff like this, or like what happened to the MyPillow guy. Don’t know which side this one is on, but the effect is the same
Yes, but here’s the thing. There’s no way to know if someone is ignorant or abusing your empathy about their potential ignorance. So, you have to treat both those who are ignorant and those who are malicious based on their actions, which are dangerous.
It’s like how 4chan was the rebirth of nazis, when openly people joke about being a Nazi, being a Nazi is no longer a dangerous thing to be. And that allows for nazis to come back.
“If a dumb idiot like me can vote 9 times, imagine what the deep state is doing”
Butbutbut blue maga, both sides, or Gaza tho! I forget, which charade are we doing now?
The only meaningful voting fraud ever has been by republicans, for republicans.
