I assume that’s what they were referencing. Trump has mentioned Taylor several times in the past, and none resulted in a response like this.
She may not have publicly endorsed anyone if Trump had not retweeted that clearly fake shit implying that Swift was endorsing him. Not responding at all to something so egregious would be seen by many as an implicit endorsement.
Not the first time a celebrity endorsement helped someone win an election. Reagan famously was endorsed by aging hollywood star Ronald Reagan.
The amount of fans that show up at one of her shows could be the difference in Michigan.
She single handlely got almost 500k to register to vote in 48 hours.
