My old Nexus 5 was my first smartphone and probably still holds the top spot for price, performance and usability (at the time) of any phone I’ve owned. My current Pixel 6 is somewhat close- but there was just something SO solid and magical about the old Nexus 5.

Nexus 5 is my all time favorite hardware design. With the soft touch plastic back, and lip around the flat screen, I never bothered with a case. All I ever wanted from a new phone since is a version scaled up to a 6in screen.

I still have my Shamu! It only works while plugged in because the battery lasts about 3 seconds now lol

I wish they still made wide phones instead of just tall phones. My mom uses big font size on her phone, but modern phones are so narrow it’s a bit annoying, she liked the Nexus 6.

Tall phones are good for splitscreen apps and gaming. I do neither. I really miss 9:16 displays.

I’m kinda the opposite. Wide phones always gave me hand cramps but that’s likely because I have smaller sized hands I guess.

Personally, when I’m looking at a new device, I look for the width because I really don’t like phones that are more than about 75 millimeters wide, because then when you add a case onto it, it starts to get uncomfortable to hold in the hand, at least for me.

I wouldn’t buy a phone as wide as the Nexus 6 again, not for myself

I miss my Nexus 6P. I loved how that phone felt with the aluminum
