I constantly get comments about how fast I walk. Like, it’s not a run or a sprint—I walk kind of funny but other than that it’s a normal walking gait, just sped up. I walk so fast that when I have it in me, I can keep pace with my friends when they’re on their bikes.
I also like listening to metal or hard rock while I’m walking, and matching my pace to the drum beat or something. It makes me feel awesome.
I tend to feel bonkers anxious if I walk slow, like I’m weirdly balancing on each leg before proceeding to the next step. I don’t even feel like I’m that fast, but even if I only walk faster than 50% of people, I’m going to overtaking or walking weird slow a lot of the time.
Can absolutely eat up the miles walking long distance though
I pass joggers regularly. My legs are fucking BUFF and carrying a fairly skinny and smol rest of my body. I’m built like a GEKKO from mgs4. My favorite job ever would be Guy That Has To Carry A Scroll From One Castle to Another

I have the opposite problem… I have zero sense of urgency.
Most people walk with really mincing steps not using their full stride even when walking at their ‘top speed’ you really gotta swing those hams if you wanna walk properly
I always see this, someone people’s feet fall like half way past their planted foot, you can do so much more with a stride, why are you being a penguin?
I’ve tried to match the same footfall (timing my right to their right, my left to their left) of people walking ahead of me and it’s like they’re walking with a rubber band tied around their ankles I don’t get it. I’m not even talking about people going for a casual stroll, I mean people going hell for leather trying on a morning commute. I want to open their world what if people could use 100% of their leg
I’m a cook and am hyper aware of other people around me cause a lot of the time not doing so could get you stabbed or burned by accident, you announce that you’re moving, do so with purpose, call before going around a corner, say you’re behind someone before passing behind them etc. Cause of this, I am VERY judgemental of how bad people are at navigating the world and how little awareness they have of what’s going on around them. I’m also usually watching for opportunities to pass, so I’m watching them feet like I’m Quentin Tarantino and you could put these people in shackles and they wouldn’t even notice.
Yeah, for some reason all my friends growing up were rather tall, I think that’s where I get it from
