Preserved in Eusebius of Caesarea’s Praeparatio Evangelica (c. 313 AD), the Theology of the Phoenicians by Sanchuniathon presents a euhemerist account of the creation of the world and the birth of the gods from among the ranks of primordial man.

The Phoenicians are fascinating. According to this video they created thier gods from men and women in thier communities that did heroic feats. Man became God for them.

They also supposedly hated that other cultures took those human gods and created larger than life Greek and Egyption gods from them.

It’s the only culture ive found so far that was “realistic” in thier beliefs of gods. Very interesting.
