We recently learned of Cultural Forces, the cultural arm of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, through our own James Hetfield.

@culturalforces.international features seven world-class artists, all professional musicians before the war who are now active-duty soldiers. The group just completed a 170-show tour of gratitude in the United States. Seen here, Taras Stoliar (Honored Artist of Ukraine/PFC, Reconnaissance Operative, 112th Separate Brigade, Territorial Defense Forces) plays “Nothing Else Matters” on a 62-string bandura, a traditional Ukrainian folk instrument. With the conclusion of this tour, he is now returning to Ukraine, back to the front.

Not to shift focus from AFU, but this Polish version is also pretty cool.

Tbf, the white voice technique they are using isn’t distinctively Polish, it is relatively common in eastern Europe, e.g. the Ukrainian group Go_A uses it as well.
