Probably because everyday itā€™s some brand new outrage or the second end-of-democracy event this week or yet another toothless attempt to impose consequences that will go nowhere.

It gets clicks and itā€™s obviously a cycle that will go on for 4 years and itā€™s exhausting.

Nobody wants to watch that shit, wake us up when somebody does something about it. Itā€™s obvious to me that Teflon don has zero consequences for his actions, so why hear about them and ruin my day?

I go into a lot of elderlys homes.

My small microcosm:

Think 70 - 80% have the news on all day. 50% fox 30% msnbc 20% cnn

Would say maybe half of that msnbc viewership are people that can go the fox way if their stocks are doing well enough.

Had a woman who is the most cnn tell me after the election her stocks went up and you could see the conflict on her face despite all the shit she talked prior.

The more conservative as your older shit is true, for the ones that didnā€™t internalize their protesting and went along with what was cool at the time. Dick heads.

I have a small bit of hope. The Morning Joe people appear to have maybe learned something. It may be too early to tell yet.

Are those the ones who did a full 180Ā° turn from ā€œTrump is a Hitlarian Fascistā€ to ā€œBut we met with him the other day because we didnā€™t want to be sanctioned as ā€˜terroristsā€™ or ā€˜enemies of the people.ā€™ Real nice guy, just some minor political differences like whoā€™s acceptable to round up in internment camps.ā€?

I MSNBC, but I occasionally flip to fox just to see what the monkeys are up to. If Iā€™m in the car I just flip back to MSNBC after a few seconds. If Iā€™m at home I have to go to another channel then MSNBC in case my husband hits the LAST button on the remote.
