They are donating $100k each, as in $200k at once. And then another $1k per month each.
That’s where you made the mistake. You trusted a journalist to title their article accurately :)

I’ve been playing Terraria since June of 2011. It. Is. Awesome. Possibly my favorite game of all time. I knew the devs were awesome too, and I’m not surprised to see this.
