You telling me our favorite trans dinosaur has only had one good game?
I’ve only played Yoshi’s Island, so I have no idea if any of his other games are good.
I wish they’d just give us a fully 3D platformer starring Yoshi. They proved they can do it by sticking him in Sunshine, Galaxy 2 and the DS remake of 64.
It is not the only good one, because it is not good
For a while this game was the gold standard on how powerful a retro emulator was because of how advanced this game was graphically for the SNES.
You can play as Yoshi in the post-game content on Odyssey, so there is definitely potential for a 3D Yoshi game.
No, Yoshi’s Cookie is also good.

I will fight anyone who thinks Yoshi’s Story on the N64 was bad. That was charming, unique, and had a great soundtrack.
“Yoshi’s Crafted World” on Switch plays very much like the old N64 game, too, although there’s a lot more hand-holding. As an adult, it’s far more fun if you’re very inebriated.
That said - Yoshi’s Island is the best, no contest.
