I never get this argument, there’s no extinguish because the Fediverse’ll just go back to what it was before Facebook attempts to extinguish it. People talk about custom protocols or something, but Hexbear is running on a different version of Lemmy and despite how jarring the experience is there, It’s not due to the code they’re running.

Lol acting like there is anything left to extinguish. Lemmy has done just fine with its own users alienating everyone. There is almost no new content here and the little that is left is either a repost, someone taking about how they totally don’t miss reddit, or political post by an angry progressive that probably doesn’t align with reality.
