She was one of the lead Canadian negotiators during the re-negotian of NAFTA (a process Trump triggered because he pretended he could negotiate a better deal). She was tough and capable, and Trump hated that.
Also, she is very strong on supporting Ukraine against Russia, so Putin also dislikes her to the point of adding her to the list of individuals banned from Russian territory.

She employed guile and cunning to both push for our desired position and delay our southern neighbours to the point where they didn’t get a chance to plead their case in the negotiations.
