A group of popular flat earth YouTubers have admitted defeat against the ‘globers’ after taking a trip to Antarctica to witness the 24-hour sun.
…
“What does that mean? You guys are going to have to figure that out yourself. Don’t listen to my beliefs or my opinion, it shouldn’t matter to you. But at least you should be able to accept that the sun does exactly what these guys said as far as [it] circles the southern continent. I realise that I’ll be called a shill for just saying that, and you know what, if you’re a shill for being honest, so be it. I honestly believed there was no 24-hour sun, I honestly now believe there is.”
Austin Whitsitt from Witsit Gets It conceded to viewers “we were wrong” about the 24-hour sun, but said he was still open to the earth being flat.
“Defeat” didn’t last long. I guess the grift must continue somehow.
What I never understood is what the point of all the world’s governments lying about the shape of the Earth? Who benefits from tricking people into thinking the world is round vs flat?
smh, fake believers. I would never admit I was wrong.
Modern flat earth is a CIA psychological operation. No one gave a shit before 2016ish and then it became a thing (Obama himself mentioned it as something ridiculous). That’s about when google started censoring by prioritizing MSM websites.
What does the CIA get out of convincing a bunch of weirdos that the Earth is flat?
Its a dry run. They can practice propaganda techniques “harmlessly” by cultivating stupid shit like flat earth, so they can then apply that experience later when they wanna incite some pogroms or foul an election.
My personal conspiracy theory is that the whole flat earth “movement” was entirely manufactured by feds to serve as an example of how much manipulative power they have over the public. 10 years ago you could laugh at flat earthers in spaces where now it’s suddenly treated as if it’s a legitimate belief.
i think you can still laugh at them. i mean shit, might as well say all of christian fundamentalism is a psyop (which i’m not opposed to)
Was Dan Olson right that all these dudes moved on to Qanon? What’s it like to be a flat earther who doesn’t believe in far right conspiracy theories?
