We can but hope…

People seem to think the current parties role is to govern they’ve set them and theirs up for life and we’ll be paying it back.

I’m really quite surprised they don’t seem to be changing their ways when the writing seems to be on the wall. I wouldn’t be surprised if they come out with a bunch of sweeteners early 2024 to try and sway us.

There is no family silver left, Thatcher and Blair sold it all. The only thing they can do is throw as much money as possible at rich people in the time they have left, secure in the knowledge that Starmer’s Labour will keep their seats warm without doing anything at all to stop the theft.

I think at this point they know they’re done for, so they’re going to finish breaking everything they’ve been underfunding for years and then gear up to blame Labour for the fallout.

I think so.

The damage is done, and people are pissed.
The part has decided it may as well continue, then try to spin everything at the last second.

UK Politics

Create post

General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don’t post to both !uk_politics@feddit.uk and !unitedkingdom@feddit.uk .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.

Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think “reputable news source” needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

!ukpolitics@lemm.ee appears to have vanished! We can still see cached content from this link, but goodbye I guess! :'(
