Usually when they say something like this there’s some seperate vaguely bipartisan crisis going on at the same time. What is he even referring to here. They aren’t even trying to make a bullshit justification, you’re just supposed to blindly agree for some reason.
Since liberals and especially liberal burgers understand reality through movies the movie “Trial at Nuremberg” makes a point about how creating, enforcing, and following fascist laws “because it’s the law” is bad and not an excuse.
Like it’s kinda the whole message.
