Absolutely hilarious play by TikTok and probably the most easily avoidable PR disaster for the Democrats in decades. I laughed so fucking hard when I saw this, I can only imagine the panicked phone calls that are happening right now.
I’m honestly curious what will happen. if he ignores the supreme court hell could break loose. but it could also be really hilarious to see the ensuing chaos. just an average evening in burgerland.
while it could cause some chaos , its important to remember that Trump can legally ignore the supreme court since they passed that law that presidents cant be charge for breaking the law during their term, but besides maybe some protests by dems i dont see any large scale action against him happening if he undo the ban
lmao Biden made sure one of the last events of his presidency was banning the most popular social media site in the country, leaving it to be unbanned by Trump days later.
Democrats really don’t want to win.
Apparently in one of his recent videos, he argued we need to rethink the whole “anyone from anywhere being able to talk to anyone else” aspect of technology, on accounta scary-wary foreign disinformation
On the one hand, I agree with him, but only in the sense that I think AES countries need to shut down disinformation from the US and the West. Their whole argument about why they should be able to output propaganda to these countries has always been the right to freedom of speech, so it is hilarious watching one of their most sacred pillars of liberalism crumble before our very eyes.
Funny because Trump brought it up before Biden was in office. “Man praised for putting out fire after starting said fire.” Lucky for him it seems TikTok users have memories as short as their media.
