Request to takeover moderation of !carnivore@lemmy.world
Sadly the current moderator @The_Sourcerer@lemmy.world appears to be inactive, and the community has been fallow for a long time.
This is a area of interest of mine, and I’d be happy to moderate the space
Done. You are now the mod. Enjoy!
In case you aren’t aware, you will not receive reports from that community on your hackertalks account. There is a bug in Lemmy where community reports only federate to mods on the community’s home instance. You can work around the problem by creating a lemmy.world account for moderating lemmy.world communities.
After talking with Felix in lemmy.world I decided to hand over that !carnivore@lemmy.world community to them, as I already had established my “be nice” science space on lemm.ee, and they sufficiently demonstrated to me that there are more voices in carnivore then my academic one. I’m gratified the new activity has gotten new and different voices involved.
Hello,
Jumping in with a small question: should someone come up with the argument that the carnivore diet is not healthy, and indeed does not follow LW ToS, what would happen?
Asking following posts on !newcommunities@lemmy.world and !yepowertrippinbastards@lemmy.dbzer0.com pointing the double standard between carnivore and vegan diets
Hopefully it can be discussed a bit more calmly than the prior incident that I think you are hinting at. If there is clear data that the diet is harmful, then we could consider taking action per section 8.0 and 8.1 of the ToS.
