I would not be surprised at all if this is stolen Wine/Proton/Winlator code packaged into proprietary obfuscated blobs without any license and open source attribution whatsoever.

Looking forward to seeing some investigation once it is officially released

TL;DR

Xiaomi has detailed a new tool called WinPlay which lets you locally run PC games on an Android tablet.

The app also supports games from the Steam and GOG stores.

The tool is currently available as part of an internal beta on the Xiaomi Pad 6s Pro tablet.

It would be cooler if Steam or GOG would bring their front-ends to Android and host games as Android apks too. Of course, that would mean that these are sideloaded, but that’s nothing any medium-tech-literate person wouldn’t know.
