Setting aside the obvious one of Florida, I would guess Ohio bc (gestures wildly around) it exists.
(I don’t mean to suggest that these are necessarily true)
I live in Duluth, MN. Fargo was filmed not far from here.
You really will hear the occasional insane Minnesota accent here sometimes, dontchaknow.
Not even an American, but I thought the obvious one would have been Alabama.
I feel like that one had fallen out of favor a bit especially in the younger generations.
I think that one is more about the entire South - so also Mississippi, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Tennessee, etc. I sorta lump it in as “Florida, extended edition”, though it is its own thing.
For whatever reason, Ohio made it into the scene in TikTok, alongside skibidi ofc fr fr no cap.
Portlandia is surprising accurate.
Among born & raised Texans, I’ve heard Waco described as the armpit of Texas.
Back when I was on the other site, I’d found my way to a Texas humor sub. One of the funnier pictures I saw was an illustration of Texans by city:
- Dallas - white man in a cowboy hat
- Houston - black man in a cowboy hat
- San Antonio - hispanic man in a cowboy hat
- Austin - hipster in a fedora
That’s about all I got as far as playful stereotypes. There are more, but they’re insulting not playful.
There’s this well known documentary series called Portlandia…
