Small FR here - it would be really useful to be able to select which browser I want supplying the custom tab backend for Boost. I’d like to be able to use Firefox or Samsung Internet rather than just dumping everything into Chrome. I don’t always want my random reddit clicks linked to my Google browser history. Previously I’ve used Lynklet to shovel clicks from Boost into Samsung (thanks baked in night mode!) but this isn’t really ideal now that Lynklet is abandonware.

Could you change your default browser altogether? My stuff opens in firefox, and I open chrome specifically when I want something there.

That way regardless of how I open a link, it won’t go to my Google history.

Too many things assume Chrome when they’re handing off authentication tokens to an app so I just leave it as the default browser.

Something like linksheet would probably be the best way (short of selecting a custom tab provider anyway) of handling links but it’s an overwhelming amount of setup to configure link handling for everything you have installed.
