I’ve been reading a lot of comments lately about people getting banned for really mundane things. Some as much as upvoting a comment.
My 11 year old reddit account got banned. I still don’t know exactly what I said but I believe it was for talking about the US invading Canada and how we Canadians would fight back.
I think the funniest thing was getting banned from r/politics for posting two lines from the lyrics of Kidnap the Sandy Claws - a song from a kids movie Nightmare Before Christmas. A KIDS MOVIE!
“Kidnap the Sandy Claws, throw him in a box. Bury him for ninety years, then see if he talks”
I don’t even remember the context of posting it, but it was about Santa Claus. You know, a fictional character.
Pathetic.
I still do not know why I was banned. I just got some generic “broke reddit TOS”. When I appealed asking what rule I broke and promised to not break it again they instantly denied the appeal with no further explanation.
Fuck em.
Suggesting anyone wearing one of Kanye’s new swastika shirts, be punched immediately.
On a post about a local company not wanting to serve LGBT folks… i said, vote with your wallets. Let the free market decide their fate. Apparently anything short of wanting to burn the place to the ground is considered bigotry.
I called malaria trump a whore.
Like, she fucked a decrepit orange ogre for money.
Edit, lol, malaria. Keeping that. Fitting.
I got banned for saying drumpf needs to be assassinated.
Weeeeeeell … I upvoted you because I can’t disagree, but this one is technically bannable. In the USA it is illegal to vocalize harm to the US president. One of the few real exceptions to free speech. It is also illegal to cause a panic, like yelling “Fire!” in a crowded area when there in no fire, to cause a panic.
