Edit: got a 3 day suspension and a few mutes and local bans. Changed over 2000 comments, all that was left after deleting them all a few years ago. Said all billionaires and oligarchs should get Luigi’d LMAO
Confused by the right wing angle. The community and website in general is still very left wing. /r/all is almost entirely anti Russia, anti-Trump/Musk and pro-Hamas terrorists.
The problem is that they’re censoring Luigi because they’ve sold out and are afraid of becoming a hub for riot planning.
theres been a lot of stuff like twitter was doing, censoring anything that is “against the establishment” and promoting Israel and Russia propaganda. and r/conservative still exists, which is VERY anti-human.
destroying data like this kinda sucks honestly. I hate Reddit too but I wish people would not do this
Not going to support it any longer. Not everything needs to turn into some profit machine.
almost everything on Earth is a profit machine. your internet service provider is a profit machine. your house is A profit machine. you can move from your piece of shit country just to end up in another piece of shit country. so what do you do then? vandalize the internet?
I understand what you’re doing and I agree with the sentiment, but I wish people wouldn’t.
I get you’re angry, but I don’t think this is the best way to get people to try out Lemmy
I hear Reddit logs a backup of your last comments edit, so maybe run it twice
yeah, i want to word it a little better also, it was 3am and i had never used this tool before.
Finally got around to it. Running it now after… a couple years of being inactive on Reddit? They won’t suspect a thing
Sounds like they have the full edit history, not just a single backup.
Great. So the least we can do is remove our comments so Reddit gets less valuable to advertisers
Apparently, writing an inspiring post about taking action and ways to protest was just too much for the delicate sensibilities of the internet overlords. I was banned for “inciting violence.”
Who knew that encouraging people to stand up for what they believe in was such a radical concept?
