Summary

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith faces criticism for telling Breitbart she asked the Trump administration to pause tariffs until after Canada’s federal election, claiming they benefit the Liberals in polls.

Smith said Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre’s views would align with “the new direction in America.”

Political analyst Lori Williams noted this undermines Poilievre’s efforts to distance himself from Republicans.

Smith’s office later denied asking the U.S. to interfere in Canada’s election, stating she wants tariffs paused to properly renegotiate CUSMA post-election.

She admits it on audio and her PR firm and her office denies it. Ridiculous. You got caught, now it’s time to face consequences. I hope election interference charges are brought up on her.

And if they have a case for treason, that, too.

The best part? This will be a complete surprise to only PP since the other part leaders already have the clearance to know details of an ongoing investigation. He won’t be able to help her.

Yeah, but they can just lie. That’s how all this happened. Generate distrust in the media, create a fake climate of fear against “evil immigrants.” No politician calls them liars, because they’re all complicit. Capitalist mouthbreathing drones.

Yeah, but there are morons who will still vote for her because they won’t admit they were wrong about her. This is how the MAGA cult started in America.

It’s treason, not mere election-interference…

MAGA’s intention to possess/consume Canada for itself…

You DON’T back that religion, & get to call yourself an honest Canadian.

Here’s what she was pushing be helped to own Canada:

I find conservatives whiny babies about everything, and their whole approach is throwing a tantrum about everything. Alberta isn’t worshipped for it’s oil? Tantrum. White people aren’t the ones who get hired? Tantrum. People aren’t Christian? Tantrum. People don’t like when we insult them? Tantrum. People exist who aren’t attractive to us? Tantrum. Call us out on our racism? Tantrum And then there’s the whole projection thing…

If you have to stop and think “Is this fair use?”, it probably isn’t. Archive links, especially the ones created on link submission, are absolutely allowed but those that avoid paywalls are not.

  • Rule 3: Opinions articles, or Articles based on misinformation/propaganda may be removed. Sources that have a Low or Very Low factual reporting rating or MBFC Credibility Rating may be removed.

Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.

Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to “Mom! He’s bugging me!” and “I’m not touching you!” Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.

  • Rule 6: Memes, spam, other low effort posting, reposts, misinformation, advocating violence, off-topic, trolling, offensive, regarding the moderators or meta in content may be removed at any time.

  • Rule 7: We didn’t USED to need a rule about how many posts one could make in a day, then someone posted NINETEEN articles in a single day. Not comments, FULL ARTICLES. If you’re posting more than say, 10 or so, consider going outside and touching grass. We reserve the right to limit over-posting so a single user does not dominate the front page.

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.
