Hi, I’m from Mbin, but I’m shopping around for Lemmy instances so I can use those alternative Lemmy UIs. Imaginary looks fantastic in Photon! But I wondered, Reddthat and Blahaj Zone don’t have downvotes and just ignore any downvotes other instances send them. How do you deal with off-topic posts, then? Just delete them?
Reddthat admin here, it’s mainly upto the moderators discretion to what happens with offtopic posts. But as we (I?) prioritise discussion over just a post, even comments like these are welcome. If a personal were to constantly post off topic comments or posts then we’d probably just delete them all and be on our day. There is nothing stopping people from posting to every community, but with enough eyes they get reported to us, then acted upon.
I like this image, it shows some post-apocalytpic townscape-waterworld.
My imagined short story for it:
Flying postman wants to catch flying parachute girl to get her the letter. After deliviering her mail he will also deploy his.
Meta: How did you post this from mbin to lemmy?

Same way I posted it to !FloatingIsFun@fedia.io on Mbin: Mbin’s “Add new thread” page. Most ActivityPub software like Mbin, Lemmy, and Piefed is compatible with each other. I’ve even posted to Lemmy from Mastodon before. That works! It’s just kind of janky sometimes. Friendica apparently plays well with Lemmy too.
Feels like it’s straight out of Weathering With You
