The author left out the fact that the single transferable vote and mixed-member proportional both have local representation. It’s only the party lists branch of the proportional representation family that lacks the local representation.

Yep but inless that half is prepared to vote on that. Over everything else.

The main parties will continue to ignore it.

Half of Brits might be… but you need to convince the Labour party in government to adopt this stance. And they’re not going to do that.
