My apologies if this is a known issue or dumb question. Is there a reason that when subscribing to !superstonk@lemmit.online there are no posts showing up? I am subscribed to it as a user of lemmy.ml but nothing is there. When I browse to https://lemmit.online/c/superstonk there are many many posts.

It appears that instance is blocked by lemmy.ml or vice versa. Because it doesn’t load anything on lemmy.ml but loads everything on other instances. I discovered this behaviour when loading it in liftoff .

checking lemmy.ml, https://lemmy.ml/instances it isn’t showing as blocked:

Don’t see lemmy.ml blocked on the other either:

Pages are hard to read with so many listed…

This is a great resource! I did not know there was an allow and block list. This is even more weird now that we see they aren’t officially blocked!

I posted my observation. I noticed Jerboa didn’t load anything where liftoff was loading fine. Than when I browsed the link through lemmy.ml when liftoff prompted too, it didn’t show anything but another instance where I had an account loaded it fine. So, I made that assumption.

I was able to join that community from lemmy.ml, so the join/subscribe connection is working.

Ok, there are multiple communities by that name on different servers.

From lemmy.ml using the native web application on a desktop browser, it is showing me

So now we are back to suggesting that these two Instance servers are not correctly talking to each other if ‘subscribe’ will not complete and stays stuck ‘pending’.

EDIT: now I can get it to subscribe, past “Pending”. I have no idea what is gong on within these two servers, but I too see no content flowing.

Weird, thanks for clarifying! Makes me feel a little less crazy :)

Thanks for testing! I am able to join and subscribe as well. The problem is when I click to go there, it has 0 posts. This also has a side effect of not showing any posts to my subscribed feed.

See my newer comment, I may have tried a community of the same name on a different Instance. I am NOT getting “Subscribed”, but instead stuck “Pending” to lemmit.online
