The angry man can be seen confronting the vegan campaigners, who held up screens showing animal slaughter and used the megaphones to get their point across to shoppers.
One man took direct action against the protesters, grabbing a loudhailer from an activist named Ella Wild and breaking it on the ground before walking away.
Ms Wild posted a video of the incident on her Instagram, calling the shopper who retaliated “an angry customer”.
Most of the commenters sided with the shopper, with one saying: “Good man glad someone done it”.
A third asked: “So they are allowed to cause a disruption about something that affects his livelihood, but he isn’t allowed to retaliate?”
What about disrupting the lambs life? These people just want eat children without thinking, good for her for speaking out.

It isn’t. It doesn’t matter how vegans act, carnists are annoyed about our very existence. You can pretend you’re only annoyed at the “obnoxious” vegans, but I’ve seen enough carnist rage to know it doesn’t matter how kindly a vegan tries to advocate for veganism, it won’t work, and will very likely get the vegan yelled at. Seriously, look up Earthling Ed’s YouTube channel, watch how patient and kind he is with the carnists he talks to, then think about the fact that this sweet, kind, gentle man has been punched in the face more than once by people angry that he’s a vegan arguing for veganism.
Also see your need to come set me straight two whole days after I made my comment. I’d forgotten about that thread and the comment I’d made in it, but you read it and just had to comment, an entire two days later.
If you try to advocate your ideology to random strangers going about their day, you will get yelled at. Doesn’t matter if you’re advocating for veganism or for Jehovah’s Witnesses. I’ve never once yelled at a friend or acquaintance for talking about veganism during casual conversation.
Most full fledged carnivores I know, which are very few, are the most mellow and relaxed people I’ve ever met. They genuinely don’t care what other people eat. They would get, rightly, annoyed if someone was causing them hearing damage while they were out doing errands, however.
In my neighborhood a butcher shop is next to a Buddhist temple, and they get along just fine.
