Original Title: Pressed “send” on an email to my CEO detailing that the owner’s assistant isn’t actually doing any of his work - I am. All while she goes to the gym on company time and posts pics on social media of her smoking weed with the boss and his wife.

I work for a small business - less than 20 employees total in a business that makes prox $600,000 monthly.

This “assistant” is 21, dresses provocatively, and has gotten caught smoking weed in her car on her breaks. She got promoted to her current role the following week from being “reprimanded”.

Fast forward to now - I am 4 months in, have taken on a TREMENDOUS amount of responsibilities. Managing production, marketing, managing sales, managing warehouse, managing inventory, planning meetings, etc.

Our front desk receptionist does a ton too, she’s been with the company over 10 years and came to me and SNAPPED about this “assistant”. She told me she sent a LONG email to our CEO about how the warehouse boys screenshot her posting on social media a video of her smoking weed with the boss and his wife, mentioned her in innappropriate dresscode, and that I should do the same. I told her I was afraid to just send something like that but she could ask him to reach out to me.

So I did. I talked about how she wasn’t allowed to draw up contracts or contact vendors and customers on our boss’s behalf - because she was making too many mistakes. So now I do them - while she gets to go to the gym… And I’m shitting my pants because they’re all in a meeting behind my desk in a closed door conference room and I’m worried I might get fired for speaking up.

So I’m hiding in my car for my lunch break PRAYING to make it out employed today. She STARED ME DOWN this morning and did not say “good morning” which she usually does. What makes this awkward is that the CEO does NOT like her, our owner is probably banging her, and our “HR” is the owner’s butt buddy bff.

Would you have said something…?

I wouldn’t have said anything without mountains of CYA paperwork. You’re most likely getting fired lmao your best hope was taking them to the cleaners in labor court for toxic environment and wrongful dismissal.
