I’m interested in using Jellyfin. I learned that you can install the Jellyfin “channel” on any Roku device to stream to it. I have a TCL Roku TV and when I search for Jellyfin nothing appears. Also when I follow the link from Jellyfin’s website to Roku’s website it redirects to the main channel page and when I search for it there it doesn’t appear.

Is Jellyfin still available on Roku? I can’t find anything online indicating that it shouldn’t be.

Better ask on one of the many Jellyfin communities:

(I am getting a bit annoyed if the number of Jellyfin support questions here)

Do people not self host it?

Not really. I mean technically yes, but it’s practically more like an app you install on your home theater PC.

But that’s somewhat besides the point… Jellyfin support questions are better dealt with in a Jellyfin community, especially when there are so many of such support questions lately.

Dunno if it’s been delisted since, but I installed it on all my Rokus and Roku TVs a few weeks back without issue.

Is there any way to jailbreak a tcl roku tv?

I stream Kodi to my Roku through an android app called Yatse. I stream to “local device” and then use another app called Web Video Caster which uses the Roku Channel to stream to it (the way Roku has locked the TV down).

So maybe have a look at those two apps if they’re any use to you. It ain’t jailbreaking, but it is subversion

Not sure but back in the day you could just install custom channels though their portal. A lot of them got taken down all the time because we’ll they were streaming free shit.

It works fine. My coworker said the older streaming stick did not perform well.
