The catch is that it’s temporary storage for 30 days or less

While sharing something, if you need to move away from the person you’re sharing files with, this will allow you to switch to uploading to the cloud temporarily, and the other guy will download from there.

This is only if you’re not near each other.

Similar to Apple’s thing that they launched recently. Airdrop something.

Apparently as a temporary place to backup stuff in the event of something like phone maintenance.

But you should have a permanent cloud backup of anything important anyway. I don’t get the purpose of this either.

“Samsung’s new Temporary Cloud Backup will allow users access to free file storage for up to 30 days in the cloud. The only limitation is that files need to be under 100 GB each; beyond that, users can store as many files as they like through their Samsung device running One UI 6.0 or higher.”
