Looks that we have some race-condition when creating the Game Thread.

Sad that AFAIK lemmy doesn’t have a merge thread function yet

By race condition, do you mean two people racing to post the game thread at the same time?

Yes. I created a game thread as well

The mods (specifically @Sirobin@lemmy.world) generally create the game threads. In this case, it looks like you created the thread about 21 seconds before Sirobin, which was about 7 minutes before kickoff.

I’ve created game threads in the past, but only if it’s after kickoff and there isn’t one already existing.

I wonder if there are any tools to schedule a new game thread to be posted, say, 30 minutes before kickoff? That way the mods could take care of it ahead of time and it’s not left to the users to wonder if they need to create a game thread.

Was getting pretty nervous after the half when we came out with nonstop penalties and the pick 6 but glad they were pretty solid after that. Fucking awesome to see them win the Thanksgiving game in Seattle. Just wish they set the turkey up right on the logo in the same disrespectful-ass way they did it to us a decade ago.

Now just hoping the OL manages to keep Purdy alive vs the Eagles next week

It was a little worrisome at the beginning of the second half but not surprising to see Pete Carroll adjust and put up a fight. I kind of admire the guy…and Geo’s journey as well…but the Seahawks fans are just so horrible always have to hate them in the end.

I’ve been missing the heavy interaction from 49ers Reddit…joined 49ers discord for kicks. I swear it’s all like 15 year old kids

I really think that if we keep grinding it out here, it’ll grow. I bet we already have one of the more active NFL communities on lemmy.

Yep I don’t see much in other team communities at all. I was curious to see the Cowboys’ thread after their great big today…nope they don’t even have one.
