Why can anyone donate 20 million to a politician? That kind of completely undemocratic shit should be straight up outlawed.

So what’s the alternative? They didn’t donate to a politician. They basically pledged 20 million to separately run pro desantis content. Desantis has no control over what that money gets spent on, unless he’s breaking the law.

The alternative is to not allow people to publish books, or blogs, or articles, or write signs. Because all those things cost money

Well you see, it might surprise you that a world exists outside of the US. A world with many examples of democracies that do not allow unrestricted donations. And guess what, democracy still happens when politicians don’t take millions from single individuals to “write signs”.

It’s sad that someone can afford to flush $20M down the toilet on a failed candidate like Meatball Ron while there are kids in the US who don’t get enough food.

“He does need to shift to get to moderates. He’ll lose if he doesn’t… Extremism isn’t going to get you elected,” Bigelow said

You’re the one that gave him millions when he was saying and doing all that shit? Go suck an otter turd

About

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis aspires to be the same kind of Autocrat despised by the founders of the United States. He must be exposed for what he is: a great threat to our Democratic Republic and American values. Republicans don’t punish big businesses like the Walt Disney Company for disagreeing with them. Fascists do. DeSantis and those like him are a massive threat to our Democracy.
