Barcodes that can accept text (Besides QR):
- Aztec
- Data Matrix
- Code 128
- PDF417
Most Barcode scanners included in Android and iOS can’t read them though. I know at least for Data Matrix, only a few scanners can handle them.
I hate that the OG barcode scanner doesn’t work on my pixel anymore.

I use Binary Eye now, no ads, free and open source. It is built on zxing. I was a bit pissed when zxing scanner stopped working a few years ago. All the alternatives where ad infested crap back then.
