I love the inclusion of the Rwandan proverb translated into Gallifreyan. It’s a really cool way to portray homage to the Doctor’s character while also including non-Western influences.

As to the design of the screwdriver itself, I quite miss the old cylindrical design. I’m sure it’ll be fine in action though.

I will just call it a sonic gadget. Not as awesome sounding as the screwdriver, but maybe it will catch on.

The Gallifreyan symbols are nice. Imo, this is NOT a sonic screwdriver.

I think it will be an overused magical plot solving device.

So, just like all the other Sonic Screwdrivers, then.

One of the best quotes I heard about the sonic (I forget who said it) was that it should never be used in the second half of the episode. It’s for opening doors and getting the Doctor into trouble, not for getting them back out of it again.

Should be interesting to see how this is used. He made a point to show it has a USB type connection. You just know this will be something they have to show off.

I think the sonic remote looks better than the sonic specs.
