£36.85m ($46.75m) will be shared between claimants who claim that they were unfairly paid, and £7.1m ($9.1m) will cover associated legal fees.
That is a lot of money. Any idea how many they are?
Still boycotting. No regrets.
“£36.85m ($46.75m) will be shared between claimants who claim that they were unfairly paid, and £7.1m ($9.1m) will cover associated legal fees” That’s a pretty good chunk of discrimination there. Probably not a lot of money for the company, but probably a lot of claimants
This is nothing for a company like them
This isn’t even a slap on the wrist for a company like that anymore. This is more like an untimely poke
The cost of doing business. They will continue to discriminate and it would still be profitable to them.
The judges in these lawsuits don’t seem to understand that it’s not just about paying money and damages back, but making it financially unsustainable to repeat the crime.
If it’s any consolation, there is now a system in place where average people have taken charge of handling shit like this because HR are too busy protecting the company to care. I’m not in AB, but I do know that the system exists and the people running that department give a shit about the people who have problems.
