The GitHub page for the project
So basically it’s a mix of translation layers (such as wine) to run windows app on Android. I saw an article on it and I thought I’d share. It looks pretty cool, although I’m not exactly sure what the use case for this would be. It does looks like their are some touch controls so that’s pretty cool. All things considered do you thing you’d be willing to install and download full PC games to play on your phone?
This is cool, but there appears to be no issues tab in GitHub which is a bit of a red flag.
Yeah I would usually agree, but I mean it would make sense as this project is extremely new (came out like 6 days ago) so it probably doesn’t have that many users yet.
But those few users are usually the most knowledgable ones and can report bugs properly.
Fallout 3 running better on Android than it does on Win11.
From from what I heard, apparently it’s a lot slower than Box4Droid, although it’s easier to use.
There’s also the upcoming Cassia emulator, which looks promising and should be better than either of them.
As for the use case, there are plenty of good PC games without a decent Android port/equivalent. A lot of us spend more time on Android than on PC, so it makes sense that we’re starting to see more and more projects like these (besides, most native Android games suck).
Really? I’ve never dove too much into the android emulator space. What makes Cassia so different from the others? Also I’m definitely gonna have to check out Box4Droid.
My body is ready
Mobile FTL is finally a dream realized.
Well your comment got me inspired 😄 .
Changed resolution to 1280x720 and graphics driver to VirGL. After that it worked smooth!
It’s not the same game at all, but crying suns is similar and on android and I’m really enjoying it!
Mobile Red Alert 2 would be a dream.
