The punishment for this charge can only amount to, at most, a slap on the wrist. If it were any other religions monument, it would result in, at least, a felony, and possibly a hate crime charge.

I mean, if I beheaded a Jesus I would expect a slap on the wrist for destruction of property.

I’d argue the purpose of putting that up in the first place was to have it vandalized. As a card carrying member of the Satanic Temple, I assure you, we are all giggling.

I tried finding more analogous examples, but it seems like most of the nativity vandals get away with their crimes. I found several news stories, but they always end with “police are hoping the public might have more info…”

8. Misinformation is prohibited.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.


9. No link shorteners.

The auto mod will contact you if a link shortener is detected, please delete your post if they are right.


10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.
