Racism is at the heart of most terrible things, I wish this was just accepted as a given so that we can move past the shocked Pikachu faces “discovering” this fact over and over in every different field and aspect of life, and on to actually tackling the problem and dismantling the system.

This is very true. & While the racist borders are in place, there is guarantee of a coming climate genocide, and instead of welcoming all of humanity into the few habitable zones as is our responsibility as privileged first worlders, we will more likely retreat into fascism and brutality.
