When I was a new grad I was so excited to work the 9-5, thought I was gonna work on so many cool things and accomplish a ton. That obviously did not happen and these days it really feels like my entire job is to prove someone elseโ€™s impact. Everything feels meaningless and Iโ€™m absolutely sick of it, but this 9-5 grind is the only thing I ever envisioned myself to do. Does anyone else feel this way, and are there any routes out? What fields do people pivot to these days completely outside of technical roles?
