Any suggestions on alternatives for blocking adds?
Oh look, ANOTHER thread filled with users shocked that Google doesn’t give a damn about ad blocking customers.
Dude, no one here is shocked or angry. There are just normal people calmly discussing ways to bypass yet another attempt from Google to stop AdBlockers. If anything, you’re the guy who spent the entire day yesterday screeching at people in another thread who don’t want to pay for YT Premium, and is still doing the same thing now, in a community dedicated to piracy no less. You just deleted the vast majority of your comments because you were too embarrassed when people called you out for licking the boots of a trillion-dollars corporation and being angry at other people who don’t want to follow your example.
Go touch some grass, it’s free (just like YouTube!).
firefox and ublock, which works for me. From what I have read this is happening to chrome users.
Or Newpipe
or Revanced
or Freetube.
You don’t have to jailbreak, you just have to use AltStore and “renew” the app every 7 days. It’s a bit of a pain in the ass in all honesty but it’s still better than watching ads.
There’s also Yattee for iOS on the App Store. It uses an Invidious instance and I guess because the piracy isn’t part of the app itself it passes the rules? There are plenty of public instances. It also has SponsorBlock built in.
Here’s the app: https://apps.apple.com/au/app/yattee/id1595136629
Freetube, cayse it stores your subscriptions oocally meaning you can chabge servers when one is down and continue senjoying your videos
