It’s music used to express oneselves. All music is a mixture of many different predecessors and has/will evolved into new styles for new groups… Culture is a shared experience even by the “out group” you seem to be defining.
The cultural appropriation rhetoric only serves to alienate people that might have been or could have been allies, the people that you end up accusing will only revel in the accusation.

The point was and still is that the “appropriation” rhetoric is such weak sauce that is hurts the other points you are making instead of helping it. A lot of people will read your comment and might even agree, and when they read “cultural appropriation” they immediately dismiss everything you wrote. Culture is shared not owned. Even things like rap are experienced by everyone (albeit in different ways, eliciting different reactions and feelings) there is no owner. Just like the whole hair braid discussions… useless…

As a white person my perspective is that we are all thieves with no actual culture.
Who tf identifies culturally as “white” apart from white supremacists? There’s no such thing as “white” culture. There is slavic culture, german culture, italian culture and so on. Saying “white people have no culture” is like saying “people with blue eyes have no culture”
