“Congratulations, the two remaining gay men won!”

…but I’m not gay!

…me neither!

“Gotcha! Here’s $500,000 each. Hope it was worth all the kissing!..and everything else you did.”

technically, everyone but the first guy outvoted. the first condition for the rest of the group winning is for the first outvoted person to be straight and, since all the chosen contestants are straight, the remaining ten guys win the prize.

Also same thing but no straight men.

That is just a gay orgy with more steps.

With 12 straight dudes, it is just a game of gay chicken taken to extreme.

I mean obviously you’d have the rule that anyone caught making out or having sex is disqualified.

The fun would be in how much they overthink every little action that they all do, and cutting to the individual interviews explaining their thoughts lol

You can win a million dollars at a gay orgy?

Fuck I wish I was a dude.

It is 2024, you can be a dude.

If they don’t let you be on Straight Out, they are transphobic bigots and you can sue.

This would have been funnier 15 years ago when it was first proposed. Attitudes and expectations have shifted dramatically.

Why would it not be funny now? This would be brilliant in highlighting unspoken assumptions and stereotypes. A bunch of straight men, trying to playact a gay man amongst what they think are other gay men. This has great potential.

As a licensed Gay, I’d love to watch this

My understanding of the younger generation is that the straight guys aren’t as afraid of gay stuff as they used to be. So the twist premise would probably just be a bunch of guys comfortable enough in their heterosexuality to suck a dick or two in order to win a game. Probably wouldn’t even need there to be a monetary prize at the end.

While it might not be as controversial to be gay as before, i would guess it still goes with a lot of stereotypes (even positive ones), and things even well meaning people assume or apply to gay people, some of them unknowingly.

Which is why I’m sure it would still be entertaining and interesting to see what a group of straight men think a gay man behaves like while assuming they are in a social group of actually gay men who try to identify the heterosexual.

Remember that American Idol-like show where they were picking the worst singers on purpose? The finale was so rushed because they were trying to avoid a freakout after the reveal lol

That just feels too mean to be funny.

Oh yeah, definitely a bit mean-spirited. The humour (at least for me) was sort of meta in how the show was constructed and how ridiculous it was as you can’t help but feel for the contestants being tricked
