I would agree, if it wasn’t a lost fight already. I mostly stopped buying physical when I realized that it’s now normal that the intended version doesn’t ship on disk, and I won’t be able to play the “real version” in the future anyways, once the console can’t receive updates anymore.
My plan is to simply pirate games I bought and hope for either jail breaks or emulators for my consoles

Alan Wake 2 is a game that I really wanted to play but it’s only available on EGS.
I don’t have any personal vendetta against EGS tbh but their launcher is so awful that I don’t bother.
