I don’t know how much they paid people in waste management back then, but I was a kid around that time, my dad was an engineer, and our first house was a lot smaller and less fancy than that one.

You are missing out - it was a fantastic series. Like most of the good ones you have to give it a half a season in to get hooked. In the meantime, thanks for the thumbs up.

It was both unsatisfying and provoking. There build up could be leading to death or what we witnessed - a strange, horribly dysfunctional family somehow being together doing the most normal of things.

It means it’s not as simple as saying 1950 home = 2023 home and therefore any differences in price are due to inflation.

Ok, so if you want to go by square footage:

1920 house is 1048 sq/ft or $6 sq/ft 2023 house (newer numbers) are 1920 sq/ft and $257 sq/ft.
