The fun thing about web pages is that you can share an url instead of taking a screenshot:

True. But, you can do both

What’d be cool is if when you enter a URL the lemmy interface lets the poster choose an image or even cropped region from the linked page.

I think it’s best to do both.

I know an url is grammatically correct, but for whatever reason it doesn’t sound right.

Is it? I would think it’s ‘a’, not ‘an’ because it’s “a you-are-el” (English is not my native language).

Yup, that’s correct. It doesn’t matter that it begins with a vowel, what matters is if it sounds like a vowel. Likewise, “an university” and “a hour” are both incorrect.

I hate, hate hate that english news headlines don’t write “and”. It’s barely longer than a fucking comma, what’s the point?

Isn’t that… Just like… How you write titles and names?

I think it would look wrong if the title didn’t use title casing.

The news used to be printed on paper, and back in those days every extra character would increase costs. These days it’s partly tradition, and partly so the headline doesn’t get cut off in embeds

TSA still won’t let them through, but the airlines will be more than happy to sell you a small tool kit containing a 6oz ball peen hammer, pop rivet gun, an assortment of rivets, flat & Philips #2 screwdrivers, and a 3m roll of duct tape. They’ll be available on the service card for $28 (please make sure you have the latest version of our app, and have a credit card on file!)

Also, they’ll be passing along a new Enhanced Egress cabin fee for upgraded deplaning experience.

Torque wrenches are still banned, of course. You could really bean somebody with one of those.
