It is better than I remember. The visual effects are far better than should have been possible for the time. The story is exquisite. As I watched it all I could think was "For Democracy!’
I remember a child (A CHILD!) walking out of the theater with his dad. That poor kid had the thousand-yard stare, and almost definitely PTSD.
Starship Troopers is funny and a great piece of political satire, but it’s also violent as fuck.
The visual effects are still good for the same reason the visual effects on the OG Jurassic Park are still good: they knew when to use CGI and when to use practical effects.
It is ab bit trashy, but the acting is good , the plot is great and the subtext is also very engaging.
